The Miracle Man and the Sword: The Walking Miracle
This is a true, personal story about one person’s challenges, difficulties and responses during a monumental health issue and his subsequent, miraculous healing. The story spans approximately twelve years, however most of the challenges took place in the last three years of the journey. This story involves doctors, nurses, health practitioners and ministers. It further involves family members, friends and prayer warriors, some known and others unknown. Most of all, it is a story about the healing touch from our Lord and Savior. It is about the lives that were touched because of the serious surgeries and subsequent health issues that followed. The exciting and heart-wrenching story includes a sword, a prayer blanket and verses on the wall. It includes a commitment to witness and to believe in the power of prayer. It includes the power of children’s prayers and of strangers. My prayer for this book is that others will more strongly believe in the power of prayer. My secondary prayer is others will see this miracle and believe there is a God who heals and that those who are broken or hurting will feel encouraged to continue to pray for healing. God has the same power to heal today as He did when Jesus walked the earth. Jesus performed miracles in His time to help others believe He was the Son of God. My final hope is that when people read of my miracles, they will know Jesus is a living God. I hope they will come to Him. Merriam-Webster defines a miracle as, “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs”. As you read my story, you will soon understand God performed a miracle in my life. Please know every challenge and every miracle in this book has been documented and is true.

— Dr. Jim V. Myers, Professor (Oral Roberts University) & former public school superintendent (Tecumseh Public Schools, Tecumseh, OK)
“This is a joyous must read book of struggles, faith and victory through Jesus. This man had led a full, productive and Godly life as an educator, coach, school leader and family man. But he was not immune to a disease that could be fatal. Even worse, the surgical remedy led to a hidden infection that nearly killed him by compromising his entire system. This man’s story of lifelong goodness and Godliness was just starting. The daily, weekly, monthly touch and go struggle for survival would sorely test anyone’s resolve, beliefs and especially faith. But he drew strength from a life of obedience to his Heavenly Father and with the support of family and doctors won a victory over near death. As is his way, this is not just a story, but his testament to the healing power of our Lord. It is the sharing of an inspirational road map to others in their fighting the good fight toward healing through their faith and relationship to God. Truly, this is the story and testament of miracles sought and received by a miracle man.

Improving Test Scores in Five Easy Steps: The Silver Bullet
The chapters in this book outline a plan that, if followed, will improve test scores in any school district. The amount of improvement is determined by various variables, including present level of achievement, previous implementation of some of these concepts, the level of implementation, the vision from the top, and the focus on the plan. A school district must make a decision to create this plan and to make this plan their primary focus, if it is to be successful in improving test scores. If a school district does that, the resulting test scores will steadily increase.
